PHOTOS: How Kenyatta’s State Banquet in honour of the French President went down

Last evening President Kenyatta hosted a State Banquet in honor of the French President Emmanuel Macron.

This comes after the two held talks during the day at State House, Nairobi followed by their visit to the Kenya Railways for a briefing on the proposed development of commuter rail service to JKIA.

The French President started his 2 day tour in Kenya yesterday and the two heads of state  discussed on issues of common interest.

The two countries are keen on deepening relations on various areas of collaboration and interest.

The Bilateral cooperation between Kenya and France has resulted to tremendous growth over the years in the economic and political spheres within the nation.

Kenya and France enjoy close and cordial relations based on shared principles and values relating to democracy, freedom, rule of law and respect for human rights. The two countries maintain diplomatic representation in each other’s respective capitals

 President Macron said he believes in President Kenyatta’s vision for a fully integrated Eastern Africa.

The dinner was also attended by President Felix Tshisekedi of DRC.
