A lawyer representing David Kariuki Ngare alias Gakuyo was on Thursday attacked outside the Milimani Law Courts as he prepared to appear before the judge.
The angry members, who are furious over the Ksh.1.5 billion loss brought upon them by the Gakuyo-founded
They descended on Mburu outside the court ripping his shirt and suit as they meted out their anger on him. It took the intervention of security guards at the court to rescue him.
The lawyer was roughed up by members of the public believed to be victims of the
Security guards and police officers were seen attempting to save the lawyer from being lynched.
They managed to secure his release and safe passage through the angry crowd though his clothes were torn in the process.
Despite the police intervention, members of the public continued to bay for his blood and taunt him as he was shielded by police in uniform.
