More Woes for PSG as UEFA Opens Investigations on Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar was forced to miss the Champions League Round of 16 tie against Manchester United as he watched his team’s hope fade away at Parc des Princes, Marcus Rashford converting the decisive penalty with the clock running down.

After the final whistle, the Brazilian hot-headedly accused the referee of making a wrong decision to have awarded United the penalty.

He wrote on his Instagram: ”This is a disgrace, they put 4 people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR. There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back! Go fuck yourselves!

As a consequence, UEFA have announced they have opened an investigation into the controversial remarks.

A statement reads: ”In accordance with the Article 31 (3) (a) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, UEFA has today announced that it has appointed an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector to conduct an investigation regarding the comments made on social media by the Paris Saint-Germain player Neymar Junior, following the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United FC, played on 6 March 2019 in France.”

Whats there to investigate, he said it and we all heard it.. Simple as that— NGWAA™🇲🇼 (@The_OnlyOne7) March 13, 2019

To be precise, UEFA explained why the referee’s decision was correct even though PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel still refuses to believe it.
