The FA Cup swings back to life next weekend, with one of the standout matches being Wolves vs Manchester United.

The winner of this match will advance into the semifinals.

This will be the second time these sides have met this season.

Back in September in the Premier League, Wolves scored a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Fred scored his only Premier League of the season in that match, while João Moutinho levelled for Wolves.

Juan Mata injury update
Every Monday brings another instalment of Juan Mata’s blog.

Mata is currently on the sidelines with injury.

The Spaniard has been out of action since a draw against Liverpool in the league.

Will Mata be fit for the Wolves game?

That seems to be doubtful, although Mata have revealed he’s closing in on his comeback:

On Friday I was able to put in some work out on a pitch again, and my recovery is progressing as hoped. Hopefully I can rejoin the team soon.

One suspects Mata will only be available again for United after the international break.

After their heroics away at PSG, Man United were beaten 2-0 at Arsenal on Sunday.

The Gunners have moved above United after the win. Indeed, Unai Emery’s side are now fourth, while the Red Devils are outside the Champions League spots.

Mata believes Man United were unfortunate to lose against the Gunners:

The reality is that we had clear-cut chances and couldn’t capitalise on them.

In the second half, we started to look for the equaliser, but once they scored their penalty the task ahead was a lot tougher.

It has to be remembered that we were playing against a great team at their own ground, but I really think that we deserved better than a 2-0 loss.
