How cold chips made Eastleigh waiter assault and strip client

A Tanzanian waiter has landed on the wrong side of the law for allegedly stripping a customer and calling her a prostitute.

The accused, Yusuf Nahothan, was charged alongside Nicodemus Michael with attacking and tearing clothes off Zeynab Hussein on February 25 in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Police stated that the complainant checked into an eatery in Eastleight on the said date at around noon and ordered fries but the food served was cold.

It is reported that she requested the food to be warmed but the waiters told her she would pay double for that but the complainant said she didn’t have money to pay for such a simple request.

“This irritated the accused who started insulting the complainant to the effect that she was a sex worker,” reads court papers.

As they were arguing, it is stated that Yusuf attacked Ms Zeynab before she was joined by Michael who tore her clothes leaving her naked.

A Good Samarian came to help the complainant with a kanga before heading to police station to report the matter leading to the arrest of the two.

The two pleaded not guilty and were released on a bond of Sh50,000. Their case will be mentioned on March 19.
