Prophet David Owuor has lately been on the recieving end of a number of insults and criticisms that have been directed towards him after a number of damning exposes were made about him by top media houses led by the Star Newspaper.
In the expose, Owuor is accused of brainwashing one Jayne Muthoni and later taking over the control and occupancy of her properties worth billions of shillings.
The expose led to an online riot by Prophet Owuor’s followers who demanded an apology from the Star Newspaper with many of them seemingly cursing the Top Newspaper.
Prophet Owuor too seems to have been fed up by whatever is being put out there to the Public and has finally decided to act.
The Self-Proclaimed Mighty Prophet of the Lord has hired Senior Counsel and Advocate of the High Court Senator Okong’o Omogeni to help him forge a legal suit against the Star.
“I have today demanded an apology from Star Newspaper on the false and fake claims made on their editions of Tuesday and Thursday this week against PROPHET Dr OWUOR failure to which I will move to court to tame the fake media that has gone out of control in this land.” said Omogeni in a tweet.
” Freedom of media should never be used to damage the reputation of law abiding citizens. A red line must be drawn againt reckless journalism and character assassination. ” he added.
Omogeni is a seasoned Senior Counsel in the land, elected LSK president in 2007 a post he held until 2010 when his term ended. He has also served as a member of Media Council of Kenya and also chaired the defunct Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission Advisory Board.
