Wondering How Much Solskjaer will Earn After Permanent Appointment at Man United?

Should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer be appointed a permanent manager for Manchester United, he will enjoy almost half of wages Jose Mourinho earned.

According to The Daily Star, Solskjaer has told the Man United hierarchy that so long as he enjoys his work at the club, matching what Mourinho used to pocket will not be a problem for him. United will insert a lucrative bonus scheme into Solskjaer’s new deal relating to winning trophies and the team’s Premier League position.

Although Man United is not expected to make the announcement concerning the managerial situation any time soon, it is understood the former forward stands prime to take charge of the team permanently next season. Solskjaer was appointed on an interim basis to succeed Mourinho in mid-December. He is expected to earn around £7m a season in comparison to the £15m a year plus that Mourinho was earning.

“I know he’s going to stay, there’s no doubt about that.H e wants to stay, the players want him to stay. We’re doing really well, we’re playing like Manchester United should play. I think it has been decided. I think he has going to get it, he should get it. What else does he have to do?” Romelu Lukaku, who has been on fine form recently under Solskjaer said.

Mauricio Pochettino of Tottenham Hotspur has been linked with a move to Old Trafford but with the fine results Solskjaer is churning out now, it would be hard to dismiss him and bring the Argentinian.

Solskjær was on just £400,000 a year at Molde.
