Khalwele reveals Raila’s motive of handshake

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has claimed how ODM leader Raila Odinga is planning to use the handshake to take over power in 2022.

Taking to his twitter account the vocal senator wrote saying, ” A year after the handshake, @UKenyatta has gotten 100%+ what he bargained for! Namely unchallenged implementation of his agenda Big-4 in an atmosphere of calm/tranquility/peace. @raila hoped to leverage on it for a 2022 win. He’s still at ground zero! Don’t blame @WilliamsRuto! “

Khalwale, has thrown his weight behind Deputy President William Ruto, said President Uhuru Kenyatta has already achieved what he wanted from the handshake, adding that Raila is yet to achieve his motive.

The Ford Kenya politician said that Raila is banking on the support of Uhuru to win the upcoming polls.

He further argued that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader should not blame DP Ruto over his failure to achieve his goal.

Raila is pushing for a referendum that will see the creation of the office of the prime minister who will be the leader of government business in the National Assembly.

Ruto, on the other hand, is opposing the expansion of the executive to create the prime minister position, arguing that the move is a waste of time and it will not solve the problems facing the country.
