Relligion has often sparked public debates due to personal opinions on christian values and characters potrayed by christians.
Moreso controversies have hit the church lately so much that relligion is almost being considered an organisation that takes advantage of people.
Top successful Kenyan journalist now on Citizen Tv has expressed hard opinions and demonstrated that preachers neeed to be regulated in Kenya following recent scandal with pastor Gakuyo of Ekeza sacco as an example.
“We are dealing with thieves, not men of God. These are cold-blooded evangelical vampires living off the blood of their flock, in the name of Jesus,” he stated.
Kaikai recommended that the fake pastors who have been mentioned in scandals of defrauding innocent Kenyans be arrested by arraigned in court like any other law-breaking citizen.
The journalist also mentioned in disdain, how fake pastors gain wealth and luxurious gifts from members hooked on the fake evangelism.
“Their devotees raise money to buy ‘mum’, ‘dad’ or both expensive gifts that range from expensive watches to top of the range cars,” he remarked.
He went on to narrate how the fake pastors have gone to the village level where they take advantage of unwitting locals, claiming to have powers to perform miracles.
