Guns, Ammunition, Registration number plates recovered after DCI shootout along Limuru Road

Two people were, on Thursday, left dead during a shootout between them and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Two other criminals escaped in the fierce fire exchange  that took place along Limuru Road.

The detectives also recovered three guns, more than 100 rounds of ammunition and registration number plates.

“Early today, two men were decimated along Limuru Road and two others escaped on foot after a fierce exchange of fire with Detectives.

“A Glock Pistol, Czeska Phantom, Czeska Mini, more than 100 rounds of ammunition and registration plates were confiscated,” revealed DCI.

The police, thereafter. launched a manhunt for the escapees.

According to reports, the incident, which took place along the road, caused panic and the road was temporarily closed to other motorists.

The gang was in a white Premio and started shooting at the detectives which left two of their own dead.

This comes just days after five guards were brutally killed when thugs raided Kilingili Market, Sabatia in Vihiga County.

The watchmen were maimed after criminals raided them using crude weapons.

Vihiga County Commander Hassan Barua indicated that the gang broke into shops after killing the watchmen.
