Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru could be planning to back William Ruto in 2022 as deputy president.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the 6th devolution conference in Kirinyaga, Waiguru said that there is a possibility DP Ruto will be having a female running mate.
Addressing the DP, the county head stated that Ruto would be required to have a female running mate if a proposal is made in the Referendum to have that implemented.
“To be specific, DP Ruto because you have interest in the presidency, if the proposal sails through, if you are running for president then your deputy must be a woman,” she stated
Waiguru added that she is insisting on that as the international womens day approaches and the theme is gender balance.
