Water hyacinth in lake Victoria has caused diverse effects on people of Kisumu and Kenya’s economy.
However, as the government struggles to eradicate the invasive weed, most people now have devised creative ways to eke a living out of it.
Kisumu county governor, Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o has announced that Kisumu people have proudly made gorgeous artifacts from water hyacinth being exhibited at the 6th Devolution stalls.
Prof. Nyong’o tweeted that Kenyans should visit Kisumu stall to witness the creative artifacts made from the weed.
