Robben returns ahead of Liverpool clash

Arjen Robben has returned to training with Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League clash against Liverpool.

The tie is currently in the balance with both sides have produced a goalless draw at Anfield last month.

Bayern have received a major boost ahead of the second leg with the 35-year-old back in training

Robben has been missing for Bayern since December due to a thigh problem and an issue with fitness.

He will now be looking to add to his five-goal tally and improving upon his 15 appearances this season.

Also returning for Bayern is Leon Goretzka and Frank Ribery to boost Niko Kovac’s options, according to Sport1.

However, David Alaba, Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso all remain sidelined due to injury.

Ahead of Bayern’s clash with Wolfsburg, Sport 1 report:

The last injured or injured Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Leon Goretzka are about to return to the squad of Bayern Munich.

All three took part in the team training of the German championship champion on Tuesday morning. 

On the other hand were missing further David Alaba (tendon irritation) and Kingsley Coman (hamstring). 

Corentin Tolisso (cruciate ligament tear) trained individually. 

Serge Gnabry signs new contract

Arsenal will continue to rue the decision to allow Serge Gnabry to leave with the forward signing a new deal with Bayern.

The German’s new contract has been extended until 2023.

Gnabry impressed in the first leg at Anfield showing his promise for the future.
