Angered Kenyans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the photos of President Uhuru Kenyatta greeting secondary school girls through a barrier.
The Head of State was en route to Kirinyaga University for the Sixth Annual Devolution Conference when he made a stop to interact with St. Bakhita, Kiburia Girls students.
He was accompanied by his Deputy William Ruto and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, who is the host of the conference. The photo shows the president interacting with the girls through a wire mesh fence and his security guards trying to keep it from collapsing.
Netizens were, however, disappointed because of the barrier between Uhuru and the schoolgirls. A majority of comments were about Kenyans enquiring whether the students were caged or why they were barricaded.
