Kimpembe: ‘Manchester United is still Manchester United’

On Wednesday, Manchester United will have quite a complicated task of trying to overturn a two-goal deficit against French dominators PSG. Apart from the simple fact of how tough it seems on paper, as it stands, Ole Gunnar Solskajer would be missing up to 10 players of the squad.

However, the Ligue 1 champions’ centre-back Presnel Kimpembe, who could have been sent off in the first leg but scored later into the game instead, believes it’s too early to write the Red Devils off at this point. The 23-year-old has told Les Parisiens’ official website:

“You must never underestimate an opponent like that. We know it’ll be a tough game, even if we have a two-goal head start. Even with some players on the sidelines, Manchester United is still Manchester United.

“You have to respect their status as a big European club. They have to score, they have to get a result, so we know they’ll try to put us under pressure. It’s up to us to approach the game well to qualify.

Let do it in Man united way, we can do it. 0 – 3— Sir-Anu yemi solomon (@Yemianuoluwa) March 5, 2019

“We really played well at Old Trafford. But we have won just half of the battle. The second half is at home. We have to prepare well and put in a big performance in order to achieve our objectives.”
