Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday arrested a suspected Nigerian drug trafficker at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), she is identified as Princess Okoye, the 25-year-old lady.

She was nabbed by DCI officers based at the international airport while preparing to board a flight to Italy. She was intercepted as she prepared to board a plane to Italy. It’s reported that Okoye was in possession of 77 pellets of a narcotic not yet named by the investigation agency.

DCI added that the suspect had concealed the contraband in plastic milk bottles, hoping to fly under the radar, they further reveal that while under observation in the holding facility, Ms Okoye emitted 15 pellets of the unidentified narcotic.

She is believed to have swallowed the drugs with the aim of trafficking them prior to her arrest. Ms Okoye’s arrest mirrors the arrest of two suspects identified as Mary Nyaguthie and Bernard Otieno Oduor, late last year at JKIA, who had also swallowed drugs en-route to an undisclosed location.
