Donald Kipkorir has elicited a heated debate after posting a tweet that suggested there are no real Kalenjin billionaires despite the community having ruled the country for over 40 years either in the president level or the deputy.
Former President Daniel Arap Moi ruled the counttry for 24 years before handing over to Mwai Kibaki.
Daniel arap Moi defended his 24-year rule saying he was misunderstood to be a dictator because of his strict policy of instilling discipline among his ministers.
In the tweet that has been going round on social media, the advocate says there is no REAL Kalenjin Billionaire that can be listed on FORBES, No Kalenjin Banks, No Industries & Destroyed Agriculture & Now Ghost Dams a phenomena that cannot be blamed on outsiders but need a look on the Mirror!
Kalenjins have been President or Deputy for 41 out of 55 Years Of Kenya’s life …That we have no REAL Kalenjin Billionaires that can be listed on FORBES, No Kalenjin Banks, No Industries & Destroyed Agriculture & Now Ghost Dams …. We can’t blame outsiders! Look on the Mirror!— Donald B Kipkorir (@DonaldBKipkorir) March 2, 2019
The tweet comes in the wake of heated exchange of words between the opposition chief and the deputy president who is on his second term serving as the deputy president and looking forward to taking over from President Uhuru in 2022.
Don, you posted the truth. The guilty ones have come out guns blazing. They are shamelessly eating and making noise at the same time. They’re insulting everyone they suspect is not singing their song. Kenyans aren’t fools, they are not about to be either.— Philip Etale (@EtalePhilip) March 3, 2019
Losing an election does not make you a failed politician. Abraham Lincoln lost many elections & became a President. @UKenyatta lost as Gatundu MP & became PORK. Losing elections & accepting results is a mark of a great politician. Public theft? The courts have settled that… pic.twitter.com/dLizPqLsHX— Dennis Itumbi, HSC (@OleItumbi) March 3, 2019
