A man has lost his life in a hit and run accident involving a matatu at Kayole Rasta Stage. According to eyewitnesses at the scene,the man only identified as Kamau was ran over by a matatu belonging to Forward Travelers Sacco which did not stop after the incident. The body was left at the scene for hours before police officers came to retrieve the body. According to Jakababa one of the eyewitnesses, the police should act swift in clearing bodies involved in accidents.
“Police officers should make sure they take care of bodies that have been involved in accidents to avoid drama caused by civilians trying to find out more about the accident as the body was left at the scene for more than 30 minutes before officers arrived.” Said Jakabab.
