Being Balotelli; See how Mario gave his Marseille fans a celebration of all time

Mario balotelli is not new to controversy, it is actually part of his life, if he is not in for the good, he is on it for the bad. His signature celebration is one that many football fans know of a ‘stony face and body’ when he scores but this time round he has done it differently.

Mario Balotelli delivered the celebration of the season after scoring for Marseille in their clash with St Etienne.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker finished acrobatically from a corner to give his side the lead after just 12 minutes at the Stade Velodrome.

Balotelli ran over to a cameraman behind the goal and was handed a mobile phone. He was soon joined by his teammates in celebration and appeared to pose for a selfie with the fans behind the shot.

Impressive, right? But Mario being Mario, he had to go one step further.

The Italian managed to go live on his Instagram account and posted the video of him and his teammates celebrating with the footage emerging on his Instagram story while he was still on the match, much to the delight of his followers.

Balotelli then sends a kiss to those watching before the game restarted.Unsurprisingly his antics sent social media into meltdown.

Balotelli has been in impressive form since joining Marseille in January and now has four goals in just six appearances.

Former Newcastle flop Florian Thauvin added to his opener from the penalty spot as Marseille took control of the encounter.

The two sides are among those battling it out for a place in the top four in Ligue 1, which would ensure qualification for next season’s Champions League.
