Was Ruto wrong to gift Kisumu Diocese Archbishop Rev. Philip Anyolo a car?
Ruto’s Gift to the reverend has elicited mixed reactions and is now the center of a widespread discussion across various social media sites.
An Angry Ruto on Sunday morning took Raila Odinga head on as he called him (Raila) out for spewing desperate lies.
Ruto said that Raila was against his empowerment of the Church since he was a magician who believed in evil spirits.
The DP’s sentiments were echoed by a number of his supporters among them being Statehouse Digital Controller Dennis Itumbi who took time to remind Kenyans of the gift Raila gifted the Archbishop.
“By the way, as President @UKenyatta, DP @WilliamsRuto & Catholic MPs gave a Car gift that day to Archbishop Anyolo, what did the AU infrastructure head @RailaOdinga give? A magic tool kit? Apparently to fight evil spirits, not the Bible….well…” posted Itumbi.
This comes after Raila Odinga’s Saturday remarks that Ruto’s car gift was rejected after an intervention from the Pope who ordered it’s return since it was bought from proceeds of corruption.
