Arsenal missed the chance to beat Tottenham after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw his penalty saved by Hugo Lloris.
Arsenal drew 1-1 against Spurs at Wembley in the early kick-off after Aaron Ramsey and Harry Kane scored for either side.
For the home side, it is now just a point out of a possible nine after losses to Chelsea and Burnley.
But Arsenal will feel aggrieved they did not get the win to close the gap on their north London rivals.
The Gunners were awarded a penalty after Davinson Sanchez fouled Aubameyang in the box with seconds to go.
But the Gabonese international saw his weak effort easily saved by Lloris, with Jan Vertonghen pouncing to block the rebound off the line.
However, Arsenal fans are furious that the penalty was not retaken after a damning image that shows the Belgian defender clearly encroaching in the box.
One fan wrote: “It was a very bad officiating. Can’t wait for VAR.”
While another said: “Refs should really have to be questioned like the players after a game imagine them having to explain the s*** they do.”
And this supporter said: “Should have been retaken. If he’s where he is supposed to be Auba gets a tap in for the second chance. Disgrace.”
Meanwhile, Unai Emery insisted he was proud of his side for their performance against Spurs.
He said: ”We are fine in our way, being competitive and adapting our performance.
“It demanded a lot of transition for us and it is good, not the result because we can win, but we can be stronger in our mentality after this match going forward.
“We are thinking each match for three points, to continue in our way, our target is clear.
“We can be proud of everybody in our work. We showed everybody we are creating and doing it our way.”
