Controversial Gospel musician Simon Peter Wambua popularly known as Hopekid has resurfaced about a month after he was entangled in a threesome scandal.
The singer on Friday, March 1, at 4 pm released a new love song dubbed Nakupeda which sounds exactly like one from the secular world.
Like any other musician, the star took to Instagram prior to the release of the jam to warm up his fans for his latest product. ”Love is in the air, appreciating the ladies in our lives,” he captioned a snippet of the video.
In the song, the singer praises a certain lady and thanks God for giving him such a wonderful present. Judging with the content, it is clear the song cannot be categorized as a gospel song. The song did not impress many
Kenyans who wondered why and how he could keep recording music even after he was said to have slept with a naive Nakuru girl against her will.
Earlier, Hopekid and his colleague DK Kwenye Beat found themselves on the spot after the lady came out and exposed them, claiming they abused her.
The pair offered public apologies but did not admit to the mistake before going mute. However, DK Kwenye Beat emerged on Thursday, February 28, and released an apology song dubbed Sorry in which he featured singer Bahati.
