I remember while I studied in one of these local schools, I really hated being canned. I never performed so well in Maths, and after each test, I knew a beating or two would occur. I am trying put myself in the schoolmate’s of this pupils shoes. It’s shocking and really sad when one of your classmate or a deskmate dies while being beaten. I mean is that even fair? To the parents, schoolmates and student even? A Class Six pupil in Kibwezi, Makueni County has been confirmed dead after he was allegedly beaten by his teacher at school.
The 15-year-old boy at Mikuyuni Primary was rushed to Kibwezi AMREF hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to Kibwezi Sub-County Police Commander Ben Changulo, investigations into the incident are underway.Chagulo further added that a postmortem to ascertain the cause of death has been scheduled.
