Deputy President aide Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has lashed out at DCI Kinoti over the dam project.
In a personal statement Senator Murkomen stated that the DCI fell short of telling investigators that they were wasting their time on the multi-billion alleged scandal.
“Mr Speaker Sir, I urge the DCI that before he embarks on any investigations of this nature, they should engage experts with the necessary knowledge on these types of contracts and how such projects are implemented,” he said.
He further said the scandal is political to destroy the 2022 plans.
“Politics should be done politically by politicians and such other matters of the state such as fighting corruption and national development should be done objectively,” he said.
Murkomen who is a die hard man to DP Ruto spoke following claims that Ruto’s ally was involved in the scandal.
However the Deputy President has denied the claims saying that the government has not lost any money and can account for every sent.
