Here is Arsenal legend who would have transformed Gunners to a top class team

The Arsenal legend who could have same impact at Arsenal as Solskjaer has had at Man Utd

Robert Pires believes Arsenal Legend Patrick Vieira could replicate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd impact at Arsenal but doesn’t expect his former teammate to get a chance to do so just yet. Solskjaer’s impact on a side that was labouring under Jose Mourinho has surpassed expectations with United unbeaten in 14 domestic fixtures since he took over from the Portuguese in December. The Red Devils are locked in an enthralling race to secure Champions League football next season, currently sitting one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, and are also in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Mirror

While the Gunners are currently in the top four, they have endured an underwhelming season so far under Unai Emery, who is in his first season in charge of the North London outfit. And should Emery leave the club in the near future, Arsenal legend Pires feels Nice manager Vieira is the perfect man to replace him. “I think Vieira could have a similar impact at Arsenal as Solskjaer has had at Manchester United, but I don’t think he will get the opportunity for at least two or three years.” he told bwin. “Unai Emery is the manager at the moment and he deserves both time and respect.

“I’m confident Emery will leave the club in a better position than he found it and perhaps Vieira could be there after a few more years at Nice. “Vieira is a great manager and is doing a really good job at Nice.” Pires and Vieira were teammates at Arsenal for five years, winning two Premier League titles together – and he’s backed his pal to one day manage in the Premier League.  “I think Patrick knows the importance of creating a rapport between the managers and his players in modern football.,” he added. “He’s a very good communicator and loves to talk with his players. “I think that approach would work well in the Premier League and I expect it to be only a matter of time until we see him in England.”
