‘He is a top, top professional’ Solskajaer Praises One United Star

Despite letting Crystal Palace’s Ward find the back of the United’s net on one occasion, Ashley Young managed to give a performance that satisfied both our fans and the manager.

Ole praised Young’s efforts since the Norwegian arrived at Old Trafford:

“Ash is a top, top professional,” Solskjaer beamed. “Good captain for us and he can play… I think only centre-back is where he’s not played, so I might have to play him there to fill every role.

“He’s a good professional and a great player.”

Those away day feelings keep on coming… another great night in London topped off with a rare chance to celebrate scoring in front of our away fans. A big well done to @jgarnerr96 too, that’s what this club is all about 🤘🏾 pic.twitter.com/bidCdWZ3yK— Ashley Young (@youngy18) February 28, 2019

The defender managed to get on the scoresheet during our 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace and gave an overall good performance despite being responsible for the only big slip up of the match.

“Parts of the game were tough, there was space out there to play and we made it difficult for ourselves. I hold my hands up for their goal, I should have cleared it but I made up for it with a goal,” said Ashley after the final whistle in London.

“We have injuries, they haven’t helped but we have a fantastic squad. Everyone has to be ready and we were today. That’s eight away wins in a row and let’s keep ticking them off. We want to keep winning games and keep the confidence coming.”
