If you thought you have heard enough about the case in which seven suspects allegedly impersonated the president and fraudulently acquired sh 10 million from a Nairobi tycoon, then you were very wrong.
The fake Uhuru has now asked the prosecution to produce the real Uhuru in court and in fact the President should testify as a witness.
Appearing for the seven suspects, lawyer Cliff Ombeta argued that the law does not serve to prevent the President from appearing from it as a complainant.
The suspects are accused of calling the chairman of Sameer Africa Naushad Merali and asking for Ksh 10 million using mobile number 0722208842 in the name of the president.
Ombeta indicated, “A telephone number was cited in the affidavit by Inspector James Mwangi, but no annexure from any mobile phone provider has been presented to confirm if the numbers exist and who it is registered under.”
It seems we are going to see a very intriguing court case in our hands. But whatever happens from here, this will go down as the most hilarious court battle in history.
