Roberto Firmino has failed to recover from the injury which saw him substituted at Old Trafford, as Divock Origi leads the attack .
Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow as Roberto Firmino misses the crucial match with Wartford at Anfield.
The Reds forward has been ruled out of the clash, after failing to recover from a knock picked up against Manchester United on Sunday.
Firmino limped out of the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, and is not part of the squad for the tie with the Hornets.
Jurgen Klopp suggested Firmino could be fit to play in the build-up to the match, but the Brazilian has failed to prove his fitness.
Klopp had said of Firmino’s injury previously: “He looks good, we were obviously lucky. It is not as serous as we thought in the first moment, but if Bobby leaves the pitch it is not a good sign.
“We play tomorrow and it will be very close for that,” he said. “Because it’s Bobby, I would say ‘yes [there is a chance for Watford]’, but I don’t know if I would use that chance.
“Writing Bobby off is a big mistake because he recovers very quick. And (obviously) there is a big chance for the derby. It looks good, obviously were were lucky.”
But the 27-year-old was not part of the squad that arrived at Anfield, and does not even make the bench.
