Countless people condemned the idea claiming the organisers wanted to use of women bodies all in the name of promoting tourism.

Its even reported that the speaker on Monday, February 25, protested against the Miss Curvy and accused the organisers of hiding behind the event as they promote immorality.

Their plea was heard, the speaker raised the ban and duly apologised to the organisers adding she initially misinterpreted the idea.

“I misunderstood the pageant after the protest it faced from the public but now that I have understood what it’s about, it is okay. You can go ahead and organize the event,” Kadaga told the organisers and contestants during her address.
