Why Sauti Sol have cancelled their New York Show

Legendary Kenyan Musicians Sauti Sol today had to apologize to their New York fans after they cancelled a show.

The anticipated show was scheduled for March but the team mentioned that they cannot make it.

Giving their reasons, Sauti Sol said that they were held up with working on their latest album and they experienced a clash in their timelines.

Sauti Sol however announced that they are planning on going for an extensive tour in the US during the summer this year starting with the Essence Festival in July.

The Essence Festival, known as “the party with a purpose”, is an annual music festival which started in 1995 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African-American women. It is the largest event celebrating African-American culture and music in the United States.

Sauti Sol made it to the line up together with Tanzanian artist Rayvanny and Vanessa Mdee.

The Musicians will be performing alongside top American artist Mary J Blige, Pharell Williams, Missy Elliot, Teyana Taylor among others.

In regard to the cancelled show, Sauti Sol have urged their fans to look out for the new dates and apologized for the inconveniences that the changes might have made.
