Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes his side to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night as he aims to continue his unbeaten start to life in the Premier League.

The 46-year-old lost to PSG in the Champions League but is yet to taste defeat on the home front.

Manchester United will be without a string of players for the game against Palace, however, after a freakish first half against Liverpool on Sunday.

Juan Mata hobbled off early on and had to be replaced by Jesse Lingard.

But Lingard himself was forced out of the Liverpool showdown, with Juan Mata also sustaining an injury.

Marcus Rashford was also crocked but played the full 90 minutes in a bid to ensure United keep Liverpool at bay.

After the game, Solskjaer admitted United had an injury crisis on their hands.

But he also suggested he was willing to promote academy players to the squad to deputise.

And BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone has claimed that Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Jimmy Garner all missed United’s reserve game last night.

He said: “Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Jimmy Garner all missed @ManUtd reserve team game last night.

“Suspect we will find out why at OGS’s press conference later this morning.

“Utd could be without eight players for trip to Palace.”

Chong and Gomes could now feature against Palace, having already played under Solskjaer this season.

And so too could Garner.

The 17-year-old has impressed for the club’s youth team this season.

And he could be given the chance to make his debut against Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday (8pm).
