Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is calling for arrest of Sameer Africa Chairman Nashud Merali .
Kipchumba now thinks he billionaires was taking part in corrupt dealing.
This follows arraignment of seven individuals who allegedly received KSh 10 million from Merali while mimicking President Uhuru Kenyatta’s voice to facilitate purchase of a parcel of prime land in Milimani, Nairobi.
Merali who was out of the country at the time of transaction directed his finance manager to release the said amount to Equity Bank account belonging to the suspects who are in police cell. According to Murkomen, action of the businessman amounts to abetting graft in which he intentionally influenced land acquisition thus should be the main suspect while the fraudsters become state witnesses.
“If your name is Tom and you pay KSh 10 million as “logistical support” to D*ck in the mistaken believe that he is Harry an influential government official whom you expect to extend “favours” to you by influencing state tenders, then you should be arrested and D*ck should be made state witness,” he stated.
The Director of Criminal Investigations identified the seven fraudsters as Joseph Waswa, Duncan Muchai, Isaac Wanyonyi, William Simiyu, David Luganya, Gilbert Kirunja and Antony Wafula.
