Kenya Breweries accused of harassing smaller rival

FRM-EA, a beer company has moved to court in a bid to stop police who it has accused of colluding with East African Breweries Limited EABL to harass its staff.

In january, the smaller beer producing company said that EABL colluded with police to ransack its premises on malicious speculation that it was dealing with counterfeit beer products.

EABL has accused FRM of feigning the shape of its beer bootles thus prompting the anti-counterfeit moves.

FRM defended its production of the bottles saying that their shape was universal and not patented by any beer company.

EABL on the other side said that its beer bottles shapes were uniquely designed to meet the market demands.
