Injuries All Over! Man City Missing 4 Star Players

Manchester City vs West Ham
Fresh from winning the Carabao Cup, Man City return to Premier League duty on Wednesday against West Ham.

On paper this should be a routine win for Man City.

When the sides met earlier in the season at the London Stadium, the Sky Blues won 4-0.

Yet, heading into the midweek clash, Man City’s injury worries are growing.

Man City missing 4 star players
Four key players were missing from Man City’s training session on Tuesday.

Fernandinho appears to be a long term problem following his injury against Chelsea last weekend.

The Brazilian enforcer needed to limp out the League Cup final.

Defender Aymeric Laporte was also missing before the West Ham game. Laporte was replaced at half-time by club captain Vincent Kompany at Wembley.

John Stones and Gabriel Jesus played no part in Sunday’s cup final win. Both players are still absent from first team training.

Benjamin Mendy & Ilkay Gundogan
There have also been fears this week that German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan picked up a knock.

However Gundogan, who could replace Fernandinho against the Hammers, featured on Tuesday.

Also appearing in first team training was French left-back Benjamin Mendy.
