Compelete Red Devils’ injury list – and their expected return dates

United had been without some key men for the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Sunday, in which they lost three more players.

And Marcus Rashford could yet add to that list as he carries a knock.

The lengthy injury list has led to Solskjaer turning to United’s youth players, with Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and James Garner all in contention to feature.

But when will Solskjaer have a full squad to choose from again? Here is when the injured players are likely to return:

Marcus Rashford

Ankle injury

Return date – February 27 2019

The England international appeared to be struggling at the end of the draw with Liverpool.

Solskjaer would be “very surprised” if he featured against Palace but the lay-off won’t be a lengthy one.

Hamstring injury

Return date – March 2019

Lingard made a rapid recovery from an initial injury to take his place on the bench at Old Trafford on Sunday.

He was thrown on early after a Juan Mata injury but tweaked his hamstring when he tried to round Alisson.

Groin injury

Return date – March 2 2019

Martial didn’t make it for the encounter with Liverpool and won’t be risked against Palace.

Solskjaer hopes he will be back for the clash with Southampton at the weekend.

Jones is unlikely to be risked against Palace but could be back for the match with Southampton.

Hamstring injury

Return date – March 10 2019

The Spaniard was forced off during the first half against Jurgen Klopp’s men. 

After the encounter, he suggested the problem was not a serious one.

Mason Greenwood


Return date – March 10 2019

The teenager would likely have been in the squad for the clash with Palace but Solskjaer confirmed he would be out for a fortnight.

Nemanja Matic

Muscle injury

Return date – March 10 2019

United were dealt a huge blow as the Serbian midfielder was ruled out of the Liverpool showdown.

Solskjaer confirmed he would be out for a “couple of weeks” – meaning he may return to face Arsenal on March 10.

Return date – March 2019

The Italian has been struggling with a knock and is unlikely to be fit until the weekend.

Antonio Valencia

Calf injury

Return date – March 16 2019

United’s captain has again suffered a calf problem having only returned to training.

He is still a few weeks off returning to first-team action.

Hamstring injury

Return date – March 16 2019

The Spaniard was also forced off in the goalless draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

United should have him back within a few weeks but the Champions League clash with PSG may come too soon.
