How another Sunday bus accident has snatched lives away

Tragedy has hit the Kenyan roads again as four citizens have succumbed in a road accident at Morendat along Nakuru-Nairobi Highway Sunday morning.

Rift Valley traffic enforcement officer Ziro Arome has said the accident involved passenger bus christened Climax Bus Company and Toyota Wish.

The four who died were traveling in the Toyota Wish that was heading towards Nairobi from Nakuru.

Several who sustained injuries were rushed to Naivasha hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

This closely follows another Sunday accident that claimed nine lives after the Greenline bus heading to Nairobi from Western collided with an oncoming trailer at Kwa Harun blackspot in Kamara along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.

Seven people died on the spot while two succumbed to injuries as they were being attended to at Eldama Ravine Hospital during the Sunday morning accident.

The area chief said the bus is suspected to have been attempting to overtake other vehicles at high speed.
