Nigeria’s Presidential Candidate Atiku Eyes at a transition

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he looks forward to a successful transition after the presidential election. Atiku made the comment on Saturday, February 23 at Ajiya ward in his home state of Adamawa, where he had gone to cast his vote,

The former vice president further expressed satisfaction with the voter turn-out and hoped that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would be able to cope with the numbers. He said: “So far so good.

I’m impressed with the turnout of people. I hope the electoral officers will be able to cope with the turnout.” Atiku, when asked if he would accept the results of the elections, said: “I’m a democrat.” He urged people to go out and cast their votes, if they hadn’t already done so.
