Man Utd & Liverpool Legends in Online Spat Ahead of EPL Greatest Rivalry

Liverpool and Manchester United contest is arguably the greatest English Premier League rivalry is living up to its status after the two legends of the respective clubs clashed ahead of the meeting at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Jamie Carragher has interviewed Mohamed Salah ahead of Sunday’s huge Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Manchester United.

In a preview of the interview shared by Sky Sports on Twitter the pair are at Melwood as Carragher asks the Egyptian forward some questions.

Gary Neville couldn’t help but get involved at the mention of his former club, but he won’t like Carragher’s comical reply.

In the interview with the striker , Carragher asks: “Do you realise how much Man United and Everton supporters want to stop Liverpool winning the league?”

To which Salah simply responds: “Absolutely,” as the pair erupt into laughter.

He continues: “I know that, but we play football and even if with are not top of the table like last year, I know how much Man United want to win against Liverpool and Everton the same.

“For me it is not a big difference we need to just do what we have done for the last couple of months and win the game.”

Carragher was quick to send a cheeky response, the former defender wrote: “Like that dressing room at Valencia you’re always banging on about!”

The tweet refers to Neville’s short foray into management with La Liga side Valencia alongside brother Phil Neville.

The Man United legend was in charge of the Spanish club for just 28 games.

Neville then replied jokingly quoting Carragher: “Everyone wants us to lose, it’s not fair, it’s so tough for us compared to the rest.”

The former No.23 who made 737 appearance for the Reds hit back with: “Well stop texting the group chat every day why Liverpool won’t win the league! Relax Gary it’s only February and City are big favourites.”
