Mauro Icardi might have been stripped of his captaincy and dropped from Inter Milan’s squad; but that has not stopped two big teams from showing interest in signing him. Already Chelsea and Real Madrid are in the line expressing interest in signing the Argentine player. He has a record of 122 goals out of the 210 games that he played during his tenure in Inter Milan.

Given his consistency in front of goal in recent years, links to clubs of that stature are not a surprise. Despite his goal drought at the moment, Icardi has proven himself as a razor-sharp finisher and someone capable of making a major impression in key moments of matches.


Inter Milan will want the matter resolved as quickly as possible, as numerous key figures in the negotiation process are having their say on the stalemate in public.

The twenty six year old player refused to travel for Inter Milan’s Europa League first leg with Rapid Veinna.

Icardi has scored 15 goals in 28 games this season, yet has claimed that a knee injury was the reason he missed the game in Vienna last Thursday, in which Inter milan thrashed Rapid Vienna 4-0.
