Klopp Hails Ander Herrera Ahead Of Man United Showdown

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp last night lavished praise on Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, ahead of his side’s crunch clash with the Red Devils.

Liverpool are set to travel to Old Trafford for a Premier League matchup on Sunday afternoon, in a crucial meeting in the race for both the Premier League title, and a spot in the English top-flight’s top-4.

As things stand, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds sit atop the Premier League table alongside joint-leaders Manchester City, albeit with a game-in-hand over the Citizens.

Liverpool’s last domestic outing, which came a full 2 weeks ago, saw the Merseysiders down Bournemouth by 3 goals to nil.

United’s stellar recent form since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, meanwhile, has seen the Manchester giants leapfrog both Arsenal and Chelsea to take their place in the Premier League’s top-4.

The Red Devils’ latest fixture saw them put Chelsea to the sword in impressive fashion on Monday night, to secure their place in the FA Cup’s quarter-finals.

As such, ahead of Sunday’s high-profile clash at Old Trafford, Jurgen Klopp was last night questioned on the recent resurgence of his side’s upcoming opponents.

And the Liverpool boss was full of praise for United, singling the rejuvenated Ander Herrera out as ‘unbelievable’.

Speaking in an interview with the Manchester Evening News, Klopp explained:

‘You never know in the beginning. That’s how it is when a new manager comes in.There’s a lot of things, maybe relief for players, for a few players of course because always when a manager has to go, a few players didn’t feel as they should maybe.’

‘But now, after nearly three months or so, it’s outstanding. I think Ander Herrera is in the best period of his life, it’s unbelievable how he’s playing.
