Two suspected robbers have been killed in a shootout with the police after a botched attempt at a break-in went horribly wrong n a Johannesburg high school.
As students prepared to sit exams on Thursday, a gang of robbers entered the school, and intimidated staff before stealing $8000 rands.
Here’s the official statement from police spokesman Kay Makhubela
“When they (police) arrived the suspects were on their way out, the shooting started and that’s when the police returned fire,”
Additionally, he added that the two suspects were gunned down and that another fled with an unknown number of assailants in a vehicle.
No staff or students were injured during the attack.
