A 30-year-old man was brutally beaten in Laiten Kericho following a gang attack that left a 73old grandmother dead, maid Injured, grandfather seriously injured and 3 sisters raped. The incident of the attack was on Wednesday night.
The man was allegedly part of the four gang team that left the whole family sobering and weeping for those who were killed by the assailants, it’s believed that one of the daughters who was raped positively identified the man grandparents’ home pitching a tent who was beaten by the angry mob prompting him to name his company who are yet to be netted by police.
They stole Sh5,000 and a mobile phone before the murder and rapes. If there was another motive, it was not immediately clear. A sombre mood engulfed the village as residents tried to understand the violence at 4am yesterday
Leiten residents have been complaining of high rates of insecurity in the area. They have accused the police of not taking action and failing to bring to book criminals who terrorize them. The body of the deceased has since been taken to Litein Hosital Motuary.
The maid and the brutally injured grandfather are all admitted at Litein Mission Hospital. The gang is suspected to have entered the house through a bedroom ventilation vent by pushing it open at 4am.
