After a torrid night against Atletico Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has been defended by his manager Massimiliano Allegri following the 2-0 defeat to the Spanish outfit noting that the Portuguese “played a good game.”
Ronaldo was not at his devastating best as he failed to score at the Wanda Metropolitano and had just one shot on target, meaning the Champions League’s all-time leading goalscorer has just one goal in six appearances in Europe this season. The Portuguese was visibly frustrated as he held up his right hand to indicate his five Champions League wins and said: “I have five Champions Leagues; [Atletico] have none.”
Speaking after the defeat to Atleti, Allegri revealed that Ronaldo had a good game, “Ronaldo played a good game. He is confident with these kinds of matches. He was not bad at all. We missed all the second half as a team. And this match will be useful looking forward to the s
