Former Salaries and Remunerations Commission head Sarah Serem officially presented her papers of credence as a new appointee to Chinese envoy.
Ms Serem, who has now been appointed Kenya’s Ambassador to China on Thursday presented her letters to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
She was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta in June last year, was among those finally cleared to take up their envoy roles this year.
This was amid a row of new presidential appointments that included former government officials: Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi (European Union), Prof. Judi Wakhungu (Paris), Willy Bett (India), Dr. Wilfred Machage (Nigeria), Cleopas Mailu (UN Station in Switzerland).
