Litein town in Kericho town is mourning after thugs attacked a home of one business man, killed his wife and gang raped his daughters and their maid leaving them with serious injuries. Neighbours who reacted to the distress call rushed the businessman, his daughters and the maid to Litien Mission Hospital.
Ali Abdulahi, Bureti OCPD says that the neighbours woke up to the sad news and alerted the police. The incidents follows another incident where a teacher and his wife were murdered in cold blood in the same town.
Tension is high at the town as residents blocked the police from moving the body of the murdered woman from the scene.They are demanding answers from police in what they have termed runaway insecurity in the town.
Residents are complaining that the level of insecurity is so high that they are now living in fear. They claim that murder cases have been on rise while the police are doing nothing about it.
