Eliud Ndung’u is the President’s choice to take over from Johnstone Kavulundi as chairperson of the National Police Service Commission(NPSC).

Mr Kenyatta forwarded the name of Mr Kinuthia, the unsuccessful candidate for Lamu County governor in the 2017 General Election, to Parliament for vetting.

He also named five other members of the commission who will take office if approved by Parliament following the expiry of the term of the Johnston Kavuludi-led NPSC. They are Lillian Mutio Kiamba, Eusebius Karuti Laibuta, Naphtaly Kipchirchir Rono, Alice Atieno Otwala and John Tentemo ole Moyaki as members of the commission.

“The President therefore seeks the approval of this House on the nominees for appointment to the aforementioned positions,” Justin Muturi, Speaker of the National Assembly, said in a communication to MPs.
