Kenya National Bureau of Statistics released the list of Kenya’s top 10 richest counties.
The report tracked the monetary measure of the market value of all the final goods and services produced in each of the 47 counties, with a view to providing a picture of the economic structure and relative size of the economy for each county.
According to the study, the dominant counties are associated with large populations in urban centres and are also experiencing thriving economic activities such as agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, financial and real estate as well as wholesale and retail trade.
The report christened the ‘Gross County Product (GCP) 2019 was funded by the World Bank and ranked all the 47 counties according to their contribution to the national annual economic output
