Ouko says in the report the partnership paid Sh97.6 million in spite of the Company’s Staff Rules and Regulations to 231 staff individuals who were earning from responsibility allowances.

The organization burned through Sh5.8 billion on compensations and remittances in the year finishing ending 2018.

KPC acting overseeing chief Hudson Andambi, in any case, safeguarded the office saying the cash was not for extra time stipends but rather compensations of the whole workforce.

“There is no way we can have such a huge amount of money paid as allowances, the true picture is that the amount reflects the money paid to our staff,” he said.

Andambi, in any case, said the company won’t guard any authority associated with the sporadic purchase of vehicles noted in the report by the AG.

The Auditor General in his report says the vast majority of the remittances surpassed the sum accommodated.

“In some instances, the annual overtime allowances paid were as high as 250 per cent of the annual gross salaries payable, implying that the claimants worked for more days than were available in the financial year,” read the report.
