The registration for the Huduma Namba has started in pilot counties.
National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS) is a portal for registration of all Kenyan Citizens and foreigners within the country. NIIMS is used to establish a master population register that will be the only single source to identify any person in Kenya. The process of NIIMS registration is done offline but the data is stored online and will be shared among different government agencies for purpose of services.
After registration, you will be issued with a Huduma number. This, however, does not invalidate other registration processes like identity card or birth certificate but will help in issuing persons residing in Kenya, citizens, and non-citizens with an identification number that one will be able to use in all government sectors.
All Kenyans and foreigners aged six years and above are expected to be registered digitally and given unique numbers containing their personal data.
According to the immigration department, the process is conducted in all chief camps across the country.

According to the Immigration Department, to register for the Huduma Namba, you need either of the following identification documents; an ID, Birth Certificate or Driving License and be present at the registration centers for biometrics.
The process is set to start in all counties and it is compulsory to everyone in order to be offered with public services.
