Somalia bows low and fast to territorial row with Kenya

After information emerged that Somalia was making some unilateral engagements in the UK over the rich yes disputed border section with Kenya, the war torn country has bowed.

Over allegations that about Somalia engaging in some mining deal with the West over the disputed border with Kenya, she has responded.

In a document purported to be coming from Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the country has began by acknowledging that the maritime regions are indeed disputed.

Somalia has denied any engagement on the maritime territory until the International Court of Justice ICJ decides on the border.

In the response, Somalia has also regretted Kenya’s decision to end her diplomatic ties; withdrawing its embassy and consequently instructing Somalia’a envoy to depart Kenya. Somalia hopes Kenya will reconsider its position, the statement read.
